Welcome to Rent My Ebike: Why I Started Renting My E-Bike.
Let me start by welcoming you to my site. You probably found it through a Google search, or maybe someone sent it your way. Either way, I'm glad you're here.
So who am I, and why did I launch this site?
My name is Urim Aliu, and I'm local to the Kitchener-Waterloo region. I moved here with my family as a young teenager, so I grew up in KW, and now I'm raising a family here too.
I'm a cycling enthusiast, and I have an e-bike that I'd like to offer to residents and visitors of Kitchener-Waterloo. Whether it's for leisure or just getting from point A to point B, my e-bike will get you there effortlessly. That's why I built this site—to make it simple for anyone to book and get riding.
I know from personal experience that the best way to explore Kitchener-Waterloo is by cycling.
The city has so many great trails, but the standouts are the Iron Horse Trail and the Spur Line Trail. They run more or less parallel to each other and cut right through the heart of KW. When you ride them, you experience a completely different side of the city—places and neighbourhoods you would never really notice from a car.
The trails stretch for kilometres, though, and not everyone is a hardcore cyclist. That is exactly where the e-bike comes in. It makes everything easier, more accessible, and honestly more fun.
I am speaking from experience.
I used it to commute from Grand River South in Kitchener all the way up to Northfield in Waterloo. I would pick up the Iron Horse Trail around Ottawa Street near City Cafe and ride it straight through. When it started feeling repetitive, I would switch over to the Spur Line Trail. Having those two options kept it fresh, and on an e-bike all of it feels completely manageable.
These days I mostly ride my road bike, so the e-bike ends up sitting in the garage.
And I keep thinking people would probably love to be able to borrow an e-bike and explore the city on two wheels.
So again, I decided to rent it out. If it helps someone see the city the way I did, that is great.
The bike
Here is what you get:

- Top speed of around 32 km/h
- Pedal assist plus a throttle to get you moving quickly from a stop
- Full lighting system controlled right from the handlebar
- Helmet, hi-viz vest, and lock included
I drop the bike off in the evening and pick it up the next day around the same time — you get a full 24 hours with it.
